What does our town attorney say about any citizen of Westport
from Jane Doe to Jonathan Greenwald to Diane Farrell
advising the P&Z to employ common sense? After all, that's what the first selectwoman's suggestion amounts to: Obtain an independent consultant to assess the environmental/public health impact of the proposed blasting regarding sewer lines and construction in the Partrick Wetlands. Yet, at the [P&Z] meeting of July 2, Larry Weisman went on record as saying her action was illegal, and to paraphrase him would be shot down in court. Since when is simply advocating prudence illegal? Farrell is neutral with this suggestion. It would be another matter entirely were she advocating either acceptance or rejection of the project.
