Norwalk Says Sewer Approval is Invalid

Norwalk Mayor Alex Knopp in a letter sent to Westport and Norwalk officials said that the prior sewer approval is no longer valid. The approval was conditional on Westport Planning and Zoning approving the ARS application. Since P&Z denied it in August 2003, the Norwalk approval became invalid.

The Norwalk WPCA agreed Monday night and took no action in opposition.

Mayor Knopp said in the meeting, Westport Town Attorney Ira Bloom and First Selectman Diane Farrell also agreed with this.

This means the Westport WPCA approval of the sewer is in turn now invalid as well.
